A 17 year old boy is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked by a group of men in Dublin.
It's believed he was assaulted by a gang of men and teenagers outside a shop in Bluebell yesterday evening.
The scene remains sealed off this morning for a forensic exam.
Local Cllr Daithi Doolan says it was a vicious assault.
"Our thoughts are with the family who must be going through an awful time at the moment.
"The wider community are traumatised by this as well, this is like an attack on the whole community, this is a very public area where the attack took place and there are shops there that people use on a daily basis."
