A young Roma man begging on the street with a puppy was jailed for 21 days yesterday in Cork. Albert has called the show. He is friendly with this man and says the family are devastated that he is in Jail in the run up to Christmas. He says Roma people want to work, but no-one will employ them. We speak to Rachel, the sister of missing woman Mandy Bermingham. The family are devastated because Mandy has posted a suicide note on Facebook. We catch up with our Red Patrollers who are out and about travelling all over Cork this morning on The Big Red Bus with 50 boys from St. Patrick's School, Gardiner's Hill. They have 500 cards and presents to give to the elderly in nursing homes around Cork including Glyntown Care home in Glanmire, JCP Powdermill Care Centre Ballincollig, Darraglynn Carrigaline Road & St Lukes Nursing Home. We speak to Maria who tried to buy GHD hair straighteners on Facebook from a person in Cork. She paid a deposit but has received no hair straighteners. We also check in with our Red Patrollers who are at Fota House all day today with Cork City Hospitals Childrens Club who are bringing boys and girls from all the Cork hospitals here today for a big Christmas party and to meet Santa. Fabulous to have the wonderful girls from Farranree Girls Primary School in studio today to launch their fundraising CD 'All About Dem Cakes...No Carrots'. On Friday 2nd December and Thursday 8th December the “All About Dem Cakes” crew will go on tour. They will be singing and selling their CD on Patrick Street and Oliver Plunkett Street at a cost of €3.
