282 organ transplants were carried out this year.
New HSE figures show that's an increase of 32 on last year, and a return to pre-pandemic levels.
The HSE Organ Donation Transplant Ireland Office says the transplants were thanks to the selflessness of 95 deceased and 30 living organ donors and their families.
Kidney transplants made up 191 of the 282, while there were 54 liver transplants.
There were also 24 lung, 6 pancreas and 7 heart transplants carried out during 2023.
