The nationwide Shine A Light campaign is taking place tonight and aims to raise 1-point-4 million euro to help end homelessness.

Cork remains the county with the second-highest homeless population in Ireland at 553 and last year Focus Ireland supported 680 households in Cork who were homeless or at risk of homelessness.

They're living in our communities, and we need to show them that they're not forgotten, and that there is a next step for them"
