It's been six months since a 43-year-old man who was on holiday in the city disappeared.

John Keaveaney from Dublin was reported missing from Wilton on the 21st of August at around half 9 in the evening.

He was later seen on MacCurtain Street before he was last seen in Blackrock in the early hours of the next morning.

John who is described as being 5'9" in height and bald with brown eyes was being treated in Cork University Hospital after he suffered an epileptic seizure.

Speaking to RedFM News, Philip Johnston from Mallow Search and Rescue says it's not too late for anyone to come forward with information:

"We're appealing for new information, it would be irrelevant as to how insignificant people think it would be you know, we're looking for any hint if you thought about it and said I should have contacted the Gardaí with that at the time, it's not too late to contact the guards and Anglesea Street because that's what we're looking for."
