67% of Cork University Hospital Emergency Department staff experienced Covid related burnout.
That’s according to a new study which examined the degree of burnout among ED staff at both CUH and St James’s Hospital in Dublin.
51 people across a range of roles responded at CUH out of 176 people working there.
The study also found the increased requirement for social distancing both between staff and outside of work had a negative impact on staff wellbeing as did the need for personal protective equipment.
