94 children with additional needs in Cork don’t have a school place for September.
Parents fighting for more special education classes are preparing to mount a protest at the City Hall tomorrow.
Nicole Hosford has been rejected by all suitable schools who have a class suitable for her daughter Libby’s educational needs.
Speaking to RedFM News, Nicole says she’s emotionally exhausted from searching for a place for her daughter who needs to move from early intervention to school in September:
"Libby's either going to be at home or we're going to try fight for her to stay where she is but that isn't fair either cause she does need to move on. She needs to go into education, she needs to meet other children so I don't know, the strain of school, there's nights I just don't sleep thinking about things. And it's just awful because there's no security blanket there for us as parents."
