A man in his 50s will appear in court this morning in relation to a stabbing in the North side of the city over the weekend.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at a house in Farranree shortly before 1 o'clock yesterday morning.
Gardaí say a man in his 30's was injured in the assault and taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A man in his 50's was arrested and held at a Garda Station in the city.
He will appear before Cork District Court this morning.
