An Garda Siochana is urging motorists and cyclists to be more aware of how and where they park.
It comes as the force is supporting Make Way Day, a campaign to highlight challenges to those with reduced mobility.
The top three issues that have been raised are wheelie bins along with carelessly parked cars and bikes.
Garda Inspector Peter Woods says cyclists should take a moment to double check the spot they've chosen:
"The past year and a half has seen a big increase in the number of cyclists on our roads. There's been a lot more cycle lanes put into towns and cities around the country since the pandemic. And we're out there today as well asking cyclists to be conscious when you're securing your bicycle outside a premises or your place of work to do so in a way that doesn't cause obstruction to someone who might be a wheelchair user, or indeed, someone who may be visually impaired."
