Another 122 Aer Lingus flights next week have been cancelled.

The airline says it's taken the step to cancel the flights between next Wednesday the 3rd of July and Sunday the 7th of July, to minimise disruption caused by the pilots' strike.

It will impact the London/Heathrow service out of Cork across those five days

Aer Lingus pilots will engage in a eight-hour work stoppage tomorrow - with Fórsa trade union meeting this afternoon to consider taking further action

Clare Dunne, CEO of Irish Travel Agents' Association, has again urged both sides to return to the negotiating table

"We are bitterly disappointed at the breakdown of the talks yesterday between Aer Lingus and IALPA and we're appealing to, well, first of all, we're calling on them to suspend the strike, to listen to what the Labour Court said and not have another strike or ramp it up. But we're also appealing to all the parties, the airlines, the pilots themselves and the unions to start thinking about the customers. And to go back into the room and sit down and talk to each other"
