An autism friendly café in Mahon says it's heartbroken after it was broken into over the weekend.
The break-in at The Rainbow Club café happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident and investigations are ongoing.
CEO of the Rainbow Club Karen O'Mahony told RedFM News they had just spent 10 thousand euro on a refurbishment:
"It isn't just the financial cost, it's the emotional piece that it has on people. Like the staff yesterday just knowing somebody was in our safe space, you know, inside. They had to clean and scrub everything down. Feeling that 'oh God, somebody was in here poking around'. Trashing the countertops and the socket was broken".
