The volunteer lifeboat was launched at 8.15pm to assist a 23 foot motor boat, with two people on board, which was taking on water in Church Strand
in Baltimore Harbour.

The leak was plugged and the vessel then made its own way to the pier in Baltimore escorted by the lifeboat.

A second call came in and the all-weather lifeboat was sent to a medevac on Cape Clear Island at 915pm.

They transferred a girl who had been injured in an accident on the island to the station in Baltimore
where the girl was handed over to the care of HSE Ambulance crew.
