Parents of children who attended a pre-school on the northside of the city say they're heartbroken to hear the facility won't reopen until next year.
100 families and 14 staff of the Before 5 Family Centre in Churchfield were told that the centre was closing last month over text message.
After two protests, Northside Community Enterprises said they were taking over running the childcare facility.
Donna Cambridge's son Jackson was meant to start at the pre-school last month.
Speaking to RedFM News, Donna says yesterday they were told the pre-school won't be reopening till next year:
"Is it really an update you know? We still have no days we still have no time. We still have nothing to put any sort of smile on our faces about our kids education. And for the mothers that need child care for work. They're still out of work, because, like where are you meant put your values?"
