A body has been found in the search for a missing kayaker off the coast of County Waterford.
The body of a man in his early sixties was recovered off the coast of Ballyvoile in County Waterford this morning following the resumption of an overnight search operation.
The kayaker left the Helvick Head area at 11.40am and had not been heard from or seen since.
The Irish Coast Guard was tasked to search the area at 5.30pm on Monday
Emergency teams ceased the search last night and resumed this morning at first light.
National Coast Guard Spokesperson Ivan Longmore confirmed the discovery of a body shortly after 10am.
The search operation has since been stood down.
