The body of a young boy has been found in Co. Waterford.
The remains of the child, who is thought to be 6 year old, were discovered in a car in the village of Dunmore East just after midnight.
A woman aged in her late 30's has been arrested and has been taken to a Garda station in Waterford for questioning.
A forensic examination of the scene is underway and the office of the State Pathologist has been called in.
The child's body has been transferred to Waterford University Hospital.
