A scam is targeting over 55s seeking investment of €20,000 or more.
Fraudsters are using brochures with the names and branding of well-recognised legitimate bonds and investment schemes.
The Banking and Payments Federation of Ireland says they're making contact online, as well as via cold calling and text messages.
BPFI Head of Financial Crime, Niamh Davenport is warning people to be on their guard.
"Fraudsters are advertising these online, and they appear to be legit and are very convincing.
"We're asking people to be on the lookout for any investments that you see online, and anything that might be followed up with a call or an email, or even a social media message to your accounts."
