Bord Gáis Energy has followed Electric Ireland in cutting prices this week.

It's the energy supplier's second price decrease in four months.

Price wars could be started after this move.

Bord Gáis's reduction will result in a 10% drop in electricity charges, a 9.5% cut in gas, and an 8% decrease in standing charges.

If you're with them you'll see a 331 euro a year saving if you're on a dual fuel plan.

The changes come into effect at the end of the month and are the company's second cut in four months.

Its after Electric Ireland announced an 8% electricity cut and 7% gas rate cut which take effect from 1 March.
