Over 70 new jobs are to be created in Cork.
Boston Scientific has announced a €30m investment in its Cork facility, which will accelerate the development and manufacture of minimally invasive medical technologies that treat patients suffering from cancer.
Boston Scientific currently employs over 1,200 people at its site in Cork, and today's announcement is expected to generate 70 new jobs over the next three years.
Speaking on the announcement, Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employement Leo Varadkar said "I am really pleased that the Boston Scientific Corporation has announced this significant €30 million investment in its Cork facility."
"This investment will allow the company to grow and develop its world leading technologies and ensure that it continues helping to improve and save lives.
"Ireland is globally recognised as a centre of excellence for the Life Sciences and this investment is a real vote of confidence in us and our capacity. I wish the team the very best with their plans."
