A number of Kinsale Community School students were left stranded yesterday morning after waiting for a school bus that never came.
Bus Eireann sent an email to parents in the Belgooly and surrounding areas the night before detailing that the C321 school bus would be suspended until further notice.
The bus brings students from Nohoval, Riverstick, Belgooly and surrounding areas to Kinsale and Bus Eireann say they're hoping to get the service back as soon as possible.
Speaking to RedFM News, Kinsale Community School Principal Fergal McCarthy says families now have to figure out how their children will get to school:
"There's been a long lead in of preparation time for school transport to have got their ducks in a row for getting the school year up and running. And it's really really discombobulating and distressing for families to be facing into the school year with that level of uncertainty with regards to school transport, I mean, there were children yesterday morning on the side of the road, who didn't receive that email the night before and who were waiting in good faith for a bus that didn't come."
