Castletownbere RNLI is to feature for a second time this month on the BBC TV show Saving Lives at Sea
The new series continues in the wake of an incredible milestone for the RNLI, as the charity marked 200 years of lifesaving on the 4th of March last
The episodes in the series focus on the lifesaving work of today’s lifeboat crews and lifeguards, featuring footage captured on helmet and boat cameras including Castletownbere RNLI.
The forthcoming episode, next Tuesday, sees Castletownbere RNLI go the aid of a stricken trawler stuck on the rocks at Dursey Island in West Cork, alongside rescue stories from their colleagues at other stations.
