Pat O'Connell says the area around the Grand Parade was exceptionally littered yesterday morning and is appealing to businesses to do more to clean up after their customers.
The City Council said their crews worked tirelessly across the city to clean up after the match and today tweeted photos of heavy littering around Washington street.
Speaking to RedFM News, Pat O'Connell from K. O'Connell's in the English Market says he was shocked by the level of littering:
Cork City Council's street cleansing crews were working tirelessly yesterday to undertake extensive clean-ups across our city following Sunday's match
🚮We are asking you to please respect your surroundings & dispose of your litter responsibly
