The City Council has passed new byelaws regulating casual trading.

Since the lockdown, there has been a boom in casual trading, but pitches on public land must have a license from the council, costing between €600 and €2,800 per year.

The casual trading areas will include the Harley Street pedestrian area, Ballincollig Regional Park, Douglas Park, Murphy's Farm Park,  the Ferry Walk at Fitzgerald Park, Harty's Quay car Park, the Clogheenmilcon Walkway, Blarney and The Marina, Blackrock.
