The completion of the Clonakilty Flood Relief Scheme will be marked this afternoon at an event in the town
The Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works together with the Mayor of County Cork, Cllr Gillian Coughlan will take part in the ceremony three years after construction works began
They will be joined at a ceremony in the old town centre by representatives from the OPW, Cork County Council, members of the Clonakilty Business Association and staff from the engineering consultants and contractors who delivered the design and construction of the scheme.
