Concerns have been raised over the possible closure of a nursing home in Bantry.
A receiver was appointed to the Aperee Living nursing home early last week - which currently houses 35 residents.
However, staff and building contractors - currently onsite- will continue to be paid and residents will not be moved for some time.
West Cork TD Michael Collins told RedFM News the possibility of residents having to move is not acceptable:
"We have people from the Beara Peninsula, people from the Mizen peninsula, and people from the Sheep head Peninsula as well as Dunmanway and Drimoleague . The nearest nursing home would be Drimoleague but that's already at capacity. So my worry is that they might have to go to East Cork or North Cork and that's not acceptable in any way, shape or form."
