Confidence among businesses in Cork is high.
That's according to the CEO of Cork Chamber, Conor Healy as technology company Qualcomm announces 150 new engineering jobs.
The company, which makes semiconductors, says it will invest 127 million euro in an expansion of its Penrose Dock facility.
Speaking to RedFM News, Conor Healy says Cork is providing companies with a very positive environment:
"Business confidence is very high - up at about 95%. So I think the future does look good. Obviously, we all have to continue to work hard to make sure that situation remains the same. But if you look across the key sectors, those that are creating employment, it's still a very positive environment out there and having such a significant company as Qualcomm making the announcement that they've made today, I think it's really positive".
