The rapper Coolio - who is best known for his 1995 hit Gangsta's Paradise - has died at the age of 59.
His manager says he was visiting a friend's house in Los Angeles when he apparently suffered a heart attack.
They say the Grammy winning artist, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey, will be "missed profoundly."
Coolio gained global fame when Gangsta's Paradise featured on the soundtrack to the Michelle Pfeiffer movie Dangerous Minds, topping the charts in Ireland and over 15 other countries worldwide, with Coolio winning the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in 1996 for the song.
