Live music is now allowed outdoors at pubs, restaurants and hotels under the newly announced rules.
They've also been changed to allow social gatherings of up to 200 people outdoors.
Multiple tables can be booked but customers won't be allowed to mingle between tables.
Speaking to RedFM News, Chairperson of the VFI in Cork city and county, Michael O'Donovan details some of the changes:
"Today brings clarity to the situation around groups, really, that can now avail of outdoor settings in pubs. It's something we have been pushing for, for a while, and I suppose the good news as well is that we are now permitted to have live music in an outdoor setting. We can take group bookings now which, before this, we were not permitted in doing, under our understanding, but the clarity by the AG and the issuing of the new guidelines this morning has permitted that we can take multiple table bookings."
