Cork Chamber says businesses do not believe Ireland will achieve Project Ireland 2040 targets due to a lack of funding.
More Government funding for housing and infrastructure and tackling the cost-of-living crisis is a top priority for businesses in Cork.
While Cork Chamber says Cork University Business School needs to be developed.
Speaking to RedFM News Owner of Velo Coffee Roasters and President of Cork Chamber Rob Horgan says an educated work force needs to come out of Cork to hit 2040 targets:
"There's been lots of great work done by central Government to get housing going, we need to continue this we need to find a way, but the bigger issue here is to get Cork University Business School is on hold over an investigation into a 2.5% deficit in UCC's budgets. We need to see that site opened up, if we want to see hit 204o, we need an educated workforce coming out available for the people of Cork."
