A creche owner in Innishannon says she finds it hard to believe that the Government will do more for childcare in Budget 2025.
It comes after Taoiseach Simon Harris announcement that publicly funded childcare will be a priority in the upcoming budget.
There were 30 closures across the county last year.
Averil Sheehan from Care-a-lot childcare in Innishannon told RedFM News that funding for providers is constantly left out of the budget:
"I believe they are just spinning the spin again to try and keep their seats, we heard 4 years ago that childcare would be priority, that they would sort out the parents, staff and providers and we haven't seen that being done. The parents have been looked after, the staff have kind of been looked after, the providers are being left out by not being funded properly."
