Cork, Galway and the greater Dublin area are the most expensive areas to buy a new house in.
The cost of delivering a new 3-bed semi detached house in the Cork region is 433 thousand euro while in Dublin it's just over 460-thousand euro.
The northwest meanwhile is the cheapest at 354-thousand, according to a report from the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.

"A large part of that inflation rise was driven obviously by supply chain disruption during COVID and things like that. Now it is coming back, things are starting to stabilise and that's a good thing, but it does mean that obviously we have this ongoing price issue, and it's really difficult to deal with"
