Cork had the highest number of work-related fatalities last year than any other county in Ireland

There were seven work-related deaths in the county last year accounting for 16% of all fatalities in Ireland

Nationally the Health and Safety Authority says 43 people were killed with the majority of those deaths in the agriculture and construction sectors

On foot of the figures the HSA is urging all employers, but particularly the self-employed, to make health and safety a top priority in their workplace
