Cork had the lowest temperatures in the country last night.
Met Éireann recorded lows of -5.8C at Moore Park Station in Fermoy.
A Status Yellow low temperature ice warning is in place until 11'o clock this morning.The weather forecaster says it's going to be very cold with severe frost, icy stretches, animal welfare issues and difficult travelling conditions.
Speaking to RedFM News Matthew Martin from Met Eireann has the outlook for the week.
"On Monday night we had temperatures of -6.6C, so that was the coldest, but certainly tonight it will go down to -5, -6 again and it could be the same on Thursday night as well."
