A Cork student is hoping that she will get funding to get a child grooming detection app she has created to go live

17 year-old Anne O'Donovan who is a student at Coláiste Choilm in Ballincollig unveiled her ChatGPT powered app at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in Dublin

The app will detect if an adult is talking to a child online or if inappropriate language is being used and the system will alert the child and their parents to a specific danger.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Anne says she will need financial support to get her app off the ground

"I need to talk to a lot of different businesses and companies as well. I did speak with some companies when I was working on this project, in particular I worked on code with Johnson & Johnson but definitely I need to talk to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook and all of those big companies and I need to get funding"
