One in every five premises on Cork's Patrick Street are idle.
That's according to the 'Outlook for 2023 Report' by estate agents Lisney, which looked at the Irish commercial and residential property markets.
They found has found that 21% of retail units on Patrick Street are not in use, while the figure for Oliver Plunkett Street is 12%.
The report says the retail sector in Cork, including those in the food and beverage industry, has been severely impacted by global events in recent years.
However, it claims there are "opportunities" for "retailers who are in a position to capitalise on them".
