1,300 fireworks will light-up the night-sky over Cork Harbour around Spike Island tonight.
The display is to commemorate the 84th anniversary of the Island being handed back from British to Irish control - seventeen years after Irish Independence.
There will be performances by various musicians in pop up locations, face painting, activates for children, and guided tours before the fireworks display gets underway at 10 o'clock.
Return boats from the island begin at 10.30pm and leave every 10 minutes with the last return at quarter to midnight.
