A motorbike has been caught doing 182 kilometres an hour in a 50k zone in Clara, Co Offaly.
It was one of 1,675 vehicles caught speeding during National Slow Down day - a joint operation between the Gardai, GoSafe and the Road Safety Authority which ended this morning at 7am
Here in Cork a motorist was detected travelling at 72km/h in a 50km/h Zone on the R600 in Belgooly with two motorists found to be travelling 20 km an hour over the speed limits on Church Road in Carrigaline and at Coolroe in Ballincollig.
Gardai and the RSA are reminding motorists of the dangers of speeding and urge all drivers to slow down and always abide y the speed limits.
