2 Cork businesses were served closure orders by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland for breaches of food safety legislation in May
Under the FSAI Act 1998, Applegreen in Cobh and Istanbul Bite in Youghal were ordered to shut down.
In total, nine enforcement orders were served on food businesses countrywide.
Inspectors found rat infestations, dead rats, raw fish defrosting in a dirty containers, and an accumulation of dirt, cobwebs and dead insects on floors.
