A 20 percent reduction in bus fares will kick in today for services in the city.
Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan announced the the plan to cut transport fares in February.
Customers on city services in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford are to benefit from the lower ticket prices.
Fares on inter-urban and commuter services will also fall.
Commercial Expressway services are not included.
Cuts to Dublin fares won’t be introduced until May.
