The Marina is to be overhauled with the installation of new roads, footpaths and lighting.
The Irish Examiner reports that the Marina Promenade Scheme will see up to €4 million being spent on the continued pedestrianisation of the Marina from Paric ui Caoimh to Church Avenue, new lighting and the restoration of the quay walls
It's hoped the design element of the project will begin by the end of the year with construction to get underway early next year
