A 36-year-old man has been remanded on bail after he was charged in connection with a €220,000 drugs seizure in the city on Thursday night.
Greg Ahern with an address at Evergreen Road in Cork was brought before a special sitting of Cork District Court yesterday and charged with a total of four drug offences.
Gardaí raided a house in the city and discovered cocaine worth €210,000 and €10,000 worth of cannabis.
An imitation firearm and over €3,000 of cash were also seized.
Gardaí did not object to bail but did seek a number of bail conditions, to which Ahern agreed.
He was granted free legal aid.
Judge Mary Dorgan remanded him on bail to appear again at Cork District Court on the 19th October next.
