Fines for illegal dumping range from €150 to €3,000 if the case goes to court.

The Irish Examiner reports the Council declined to reveal exactly where the CCTV cameras are installed, however they said eight are in the Fermoy District, six are in Macroom and there are five in the wider Cobh area.

Fines for illegal dumping range from €150 to €3,000 if the case goes to court.

The amount of material being brought to recycling centres also increased by up to 50% in some locations due to an increase in the amount of people drinking at home since the pandemic hit.
