A 42-year old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 31-year-old woman in Cork.
Joseph Butler of 31 The Belfry, Bridewell Lane in Mallow, County Cork is accused of murdering Paula Canty at the same address on the 3rd of January.
Joseph Butler appeared before Midleton District Court this morning charged with the murder of the mother of 2.
Sargeant Michael O’Regan said Mr. Butler originally made no reply when charged but Mr Butler later said “I’m not effing guilty.”
Judge Colm Roberts remanded Joseph Butler in custody to appear before Mallow District Court via video link on the 14th of January.
Judge Roberts offered his sympathy to Paula Canty’s children and mother.
