The 60-year-old motorcyclist who died in a road crash in Banteer has been named locally.
Niall Murphy from the Wilton area died in a single vehicle collision on the R579 at Glen South on Sunday evening.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who was travelling in the Banteer and Nad area between 6 and 7.30pm on Sunday to contact Mallow Garda station.
