66th Cork International Film Festival has been launched

The 17 day festival will feature over 80 films and documentaries and 130 short films.

Screenings will be shown at a number of venues in the City and County and will be both in-person and online.

The first films will be screened in cinemas on November 5th and social distancing will be in place.

Speaking to RedFM News, Festival Director Fiona Clark outlines some of the venues hosting events this year:

"We're back in full throttle again this year ,it's really it's great to be back, so we'll be at the Gate Cinema one of our major partners, and we'll be in Cork Middleton and Mallow will be at the Everyman Theatre the Thriskel and we're even doing some presentations in the Quarter Gallery, and at Marina park so we're all over the city. The festival will be very, very visible, and part of the fabric of the city during, during November"
