720 eviction notices were issued in Cork in the second quarter of 2023.
Figures from the Residential tenancies board show that nationally, 5,735 notices were issued to tenants following the lifting of the eviction ban by the government in May.
That’s an increase of nearly 1,000 on quarter one.
Meanwhile a record number of people are in emergency accommodation, with that figure rising to 12,600 since the end of the eviction ban.
