World of Wonder Toy Store in North Point Business Park say shopping started much earlier this year

It started amid fears of a second lockdown last September but there has been a steady flow of shoppers since they reopened their doors at the start of the month.

The toy store says Santa's helpers have been advising them that Nerf guns, L.O.L dolls and Lego are all very popular this year on many Cork children's Christmas lists.

Speaking to RedFM News Katherine Dineen of World of Wonder Toy Store says they're still very busy with many children still finalising their lists:

'It's been a completely different year of course. We've been very busy before the lockdown, extremely busy. We're busy now since we opened up again. It's great to see kids and parents back in the shop. It's great to be back. We have a vast range of stuff still at the moment, and we hope to be busy right up to Christmas Eve.'
