The road between Fermoy and Rathcormac is closed to facilitate a technical examination and diversions are in place.
Emergency services including three units of the county fire service from Fermoy and Mitchelstown are at the scene of the collision on the old Cork to Dublin road, the R639, between Rathcormac and Fermoy close to Fermoy Mart.
