Liz Muldoon had to undergo 16 bouts of chemotherapy in 23 weeks, surgery and radiotherapy after she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer
Liz says initially the diagnosis changed the future she had imagined for her family, but says she learned to take one day at a time and gradually that helped her process the hand she had been dealt
Just eight months ago Liz was given the news that she is cancer free and since then has been freely lending her support to Breakthrough Cancer research and the incredible work they do.
Liz is sharing her story with RedFM News as part of Cork's RedFM's Buy back Time initiative with Breakthrough Cancer Research
Speaking to RedFM News Liz says the diagnosis made her think of her mortality for the first time
Listeners are being urged to team up with Breakthrough Cancer research and take one hour out of their day tomorrow and donate the value of that hour or €4 to the charity's appeal by texting the letter BCR to 50300
