A mother of two who was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in April last year says she is alive today thanks to cancer research

Liz Muldoon had to undergo 16 bouts of chemotherapy in 23 weeks, surgery and radiotherapy after she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer

Liz says initially the diagnosis changed the future she had imagined for her family, but says she learned to take one day at a time and gradually that helped her process the hand she had been dealt

Just eight months ago Liz was given the news that she is cancer free and since then has been freely lending her support to Breakthrough Cancer research and the incredible work they do.

Liz is sharing her story with RedFM News as part of Cork's RedFM's Buy back Time initiative with Breakthrough Cancer Research
