The move from DAA comes after management at Dublin Airport faced heavy criticism for long delays which led to some passengers missing their flights in recent weeks due to a shortage of staff.
In a letter to the Joint Committee on Transport and Communications, DAA says the temporary re-assignments will not affect security screening at Cork Airport.
The group say 600 office based staff are undertaking security duties at Dublin Airport and say 250 security staff candidates have been invited for a job interview this week.
Former security screeners who now work in other parts of the business are also being identified.
