A tractor protest organised by the Irish Farmer's Association is not expected to cause much disruption across county Cork this evening.
Hundreds of farmers are expected to gather in towns including Clonakilty, Ballincollig, Blarney and Mitchelstown
The IFA have not ruled out full-scale protests in the future but say this evening’s event is in solidarity with their counterparts in Europe.
Conor O’Leary from the IFA told RedFM News that their members will make it clear when they want to protest:
"As an organisation what we've got to do is reflect the feelings, the wants, the needs and requirements of our members. And really we just got to take their view. Currently, it's not that it's important to note that. You know, the general public are our customers are our friends and we don't want to do anything to disenfranchise the public itself"
